Entropy is the amount of uncertainty of a random variable. It's the amount of uncertainty we have when we don't know the result of an outcome. Conversely, it's the amount of information we gain when we do learn the result of an outcome.
Formally, it's the expected value of the self-information of all of the outcomes of a random variable.
H(X) = E(I(X)) for all x in X
I think the judges on Iron Chef may be prone to confirmation bias toward the iron chefs when they go through the judging phase on the program.
To remedy this, they should hide the identity of the dish creator from the judges, to ensure a completely fair and unbiased judging.
It would be interesting to see how this simple change would effect the results.

I put remix into my iTunes search box, interesting stuff that I rarely listen to... this Country Musume version of Renai Revolution 21 is pretty good.

They should institute a triple blind instead, where the judges don't actually know what they are juding.
So I'm experimenting with Ruby and Tcl/tk, and even though the Tk bindings are part of the main windows distribution, you still need to download Tk separately.
The RubyHelp.chm doesn't make any mention of this fact, and so you literally need to find out ``the hard way'' that you need to download Tk separately.
The one thing about custom ringtones is that, you can have a really nice ringtone (example: Frank Sinatra - Somewhere Beyond the Sea), but nobody can ever appreciate it, unless you delay in answering your phone on purpose, which is generally considered a dick move.
I guess the trick is to find the balance between people appreciating your ringtone and not being a dick. For me, that would be after the second set of horns, just as Frank begins ``Somewhere...''

Actually, Bobby Darin is the original composer of ``Somewhere Beyond the Sea,'' with the song being often misattributed to Frank Sinatra. In fact, there have been no known recordings of Sinatra ever singing Somewhere Beyond the Sea.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

In Galois Fields, full of flowers
primitive elements dance for hours
climbing sequentially through the trees
and shouting occasional parities.
The syndromes like ghosts in the misty damp
feed the smoldering fires of the Berlekamp
and high flying exponents sometimes are downed
on the jagged peaks of the Gilbert bound.

So dear readers, my day was kind of shitty today :<
I'm depressed pretty much all the time lately, since I can't get over a guy I really like ;_;
Anyway, so to keep my mind off my situation, I started coding a 2D tile-based game engine in pure C! No classes, no templates, no pig-disgustingC++. Feels good man. I'm going to use SDL and integrate a Lua scripting system, and after I'll finish the engine maybe also port it to the NDS. ٩( ・∀・)۶
