Entropy is the amount of uncertainty of a random variable. It's the amount of uncertainty we have when we don't know the result of an outcome. Conversely, it's the amount of information we gain when we do learn the result of an outcome.
Formally, it's the expected value of the self-information of all of the outcomes of a random variable.

The one thing about custom ringtones is that, you can have a really nice ringtone (example: Frank Sinatra - Somewhere Beyond the Sea), but nobody can ever appreciate it, unless you delay in answering your phone on purpose, which is generally considered a dick move.
I guess the trick is to find the balance between people appreciating your ringtone and not being a dick. For me, that would be after the second set of horns, just as Frank begins ``Somewhere...''
