This is like choosing between terminal cancer and the flu. An easy choice, but it would suck to have to make it.

and VB is the terminal cancer amirite

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 14:04

C# is basically python without the slow as fuck and forced indentation of code.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 14:07

I quite like VB.NET, mainly because it dispenses with the useless cascade of {}s that infect so many other C-style languages.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 14:45

i do not normally code in VB.NET because i am not a faggot

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 14:48

Wait, are we talking about BASIC here? Like, 10 PRINT I AM A FAGGOT 20 GOTO 10? Dude, I knew that shit like when I was 8 years old.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 16:25

C# has a stronger syntax, I have always disliked VB, maybe it's because I first learned to program in Pascal and then C++ without ever having touched basic. Am I the only one that hates the lack of ; for statements in VB? It feels wrong, like the code is just floating in nothing with no solid structure.

I hate any language that has way too many words and not enough operators.

Depends on what you're doing. For creating a GUI interface in real time to track an IP address, VB.

Otherwise, C#.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 20:17

If you're going to do stuff that involves bstrs or variants than VB is eaiser.

anything else would have to go to C# hands down.

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 21:08

VB because people are less likely to think they know a real language (people think C# is like C/C++, lawl)

I like making my GUIs in x2 time; Will VB help me?

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-21 22:13

Writing Q&D gui apps takes about the same time in C# and VB once you know what you're doing.

Drag and drop the elements, set the properties, wire in the events.

go make a samm'ch

No. It's something you buy from Subway (R) or Quiznos (R). Unfortunately, it's made of FrozenVoid. It's a very unpopular food.
