You have to make a choice: Never have sex again, or never program in any language ever again. WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE?]

There is nothing you can't do from the CLI on a Cisco box.
You can use SVN to track your config changes so you can fix it when you shit can the network.
You can use scripts to generate the repetitive bullshit parts of the configs.
It is still a PITA though.
