To keep this programming-related, I'm going until I cause errors. What do you think will cause errors first?

Browser is consuming 415MB of RAM, and my system is showing effects. Copying/pasting is delayed, especially from the browser. Textual input is also delayed, so typing this post was a bit painful.

Why, Java VM? WHY?!

It's likely not the Java VM but the sandbox your browser constrains it to that is causing leaks, my bet is if you ran it as a desktop application it would not leak.
