parallelizing gcc over network

Name: Anonymous 2009-04-03 19:41

I think I remember reading that you can set it up so that gcc can take advantage of other local computers to parallelize compiling to speed it up; I don't recall the exact terminology so I'm having trouble googling it correctly. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Former is superior, since it can take parallelize not only compilation processes, but also other parts of your build such as code generation and, well, generally anything that can run in multiple simultaneous execution paths.

If you were seriously working on something big enough that required parallel compilation, you would already have a custom in-house solution or at the very least not be asking /prog/. In conclusion, stop being a ricer faggot- you don't need parallel compilation you need a better makefile.
