Help!

The hard drive on my laptop seems to have died. I have it up and running right now with one of those live Ubuntu CDs, but I can't access anything from the hard drive. Anyone know how I might be able to get to some of the old stuff I had on there?

Had some things on there I really didn't want to lose.
