You guys don't even know how pissed I am. I've spend the last 2 days reinstalling ubuntu probably 20 times, and each time things seem to be working fine.
Just when i'm actually surfing around, or just doing the normal shit, watching movies, downloading, and stuff, like that i notice either weird fonts, or lost files....
Lost like half of my 4chan folder, of images, memes, saved threads and shit. I probably lost 500mb of images, and it's because you fucktards always recommend linux, even though windows never does this shit. windows, or even mac, don't require all of this bullshit just to customize your default bootup, and look just fine when you get them installed.
The last thing i want to do is reinstall linux, so what the fuck do i now?? sure, i can reinstall windows, but that doesn't help me get back those files that got erased. i know there are lots of REALLY good file recovery programs for windows, but tell me one that is reliable and good for fucking linux. probably don't have any.

There's one thing I don't get. People complain how Windows crashes, how Ubanto screws things up, shit, even about the rapidshit. Well, my Windows crashed once in the last three years, I never had any problems with Ubanto, and never, never was I in a situation where I wasn;t able to download anything from (free) rapidshit. Seriously, people, either you're doing something wrong, or I am a really lucky guy.

Nobody says that the kernel is insignificant, we just say that the kernel is one part of a larger system. We say it is unfair to label the whole system as Linux as it invites people to think that the GNU system is a part of the Linux system. Since people like you don't care much about having a comfortable environment you probably only spend only three hours a week tweaking your system, and you probably actually enjoy it, so it not as much as a waste of time as it would be for non-hobbyists who need to rely on their machines.
