Unicode variable names

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-20 0:29

So I was messing around with some stuff in Haskell and I tried to use Unicode variable names and it wouldn't let me do it. I personally think this is kind of dumb--why not just let users declare variables, functions, etc. in Unicode if necessary?

What do you guys think of Unicode in program source files?

Unicode names work fine.  You do not know how to operate your computer.

There aren't enough systems that offer Unicode compliance. Instead, most systems offer Unicode support which isn't the same thing as compilance.
