I recently had the displeasure of installing Linux on somebody's computer. This guy had no knowledge of computers, or what Windows, Linux etc ... was, so I decided to have a little fun with guy ;)
I ended up installing FreeBSD 7.1, which was just released yesterday, and setting up a window / desktop manager.
The conversation went something like:
FrozenVoid: Okay sir, I just need your signature here and here
Guy: Just a couple of questions, how do I install this game **shows me a box of WORLD OF WARCRAFT**?
FV: To do that, you'll need to buy a new computer, as this computer is not compatible with WOW.
Customers have a choice between Windows and Linux when we install their PC. But get this, the guy chose Windows the first time, but we installed linux anyway, what's the difference right?
At this stage, the guy is getting... rather animated shall we say, about having to spend another $800 for a new installation.
To cut a long story short, the guy ended up ordering a new PC.
But the thing is this, I get to keep the original PC, since we can't return it nor can we keep it in stock. So I just netted myself the following:
CPU: Intel i7 920 (quad core w/ 2 native threads per core)
RAM: 6GB DDR-3
Video: Geforce GTX 260
HDD: 500 GB Western Digital
Monitor: 22inch CMV221D Chimei Widescreen

Supposedly it does for some people, but getting it working takes a lot more time and effort than it's worth, and even if you do get it working it'll be pretty ugly to look at.

I don't know, the screenshots I have seen of World of Warcraft looked pretty nice.
I don't think there's any effort in installing it.

Troll noted, but for the ignorant:
FreeBSD was not forked from GNU/Linux.
FreeBSD was a project at Berkeley forked from 386BSD, which was written based on 4.3BSD, which goes back to the original BSD project which started in 1977, before the GNU project was started by RMS.

Nobody in their right mind would spend that much on a computer when they know nothing about computers. Parents will buy the low end for their children, and those with money to splurge will buy a Mac.
Proposed in 1931, the Zermelo's navigation problem is a classic optimal control problem. The problems deals with a boat navigating on a body of water, originating from a point O to a destination point D. The boat is capable of a certain maximum speed, and we want to derive the best possible control to reach D in the least possible time.
