In some ways I dislike ESR - he seems a bit of a nut, but i do relate to a lot of what he writes.

So nobody here knows OCaml? Fine then. Haskell it is. Real World Haskell any good?

You silly bastard. You should have stuck with F#, since it's goign to become an official language in the next iteration of VS.

But fine. Stick with your toy kiddy language you ignorant pissant.

I'm not terribly interested in Visual Studio.

It seems terribly pointless to choose Haskell over F#. You don't need Windows to use F#, if that's what you're worrying. It really boggles the mind, Haskell is pointless, it's a dead language.

F# seems immature, using a useful language-maturity acid test: does it have a dedicated Emacs mode?

Also some other good resources for F#

Don Syme's blag. Syme is the Godfather of F#:

I can also recommend "Expert F#", authored by, you guessed it, Don Syme.

That doesn't mean "incomplete series of ugly hacks on a similar language's major mode."

Thanks for the links. I guess I can make do with fundamental-mode until a real F# mode appears. Judging from >>19 there appears to be some interest, including from Syme himself.
