I don't think I've typed "rm *.*" ever. I have also never deleted the wrong thing. That said, I am paralyzed with fear over the possibility.
Firstly, experienced/bearded UNIX users wouldn't use rm *.* to wipe all, unless they are actually Windows faggots. Secondly, that hardly happens. Thirdly, it may also happen on Windows.
