Java proxies

Javafag here.

I have several threads making http requests. Now, I would like to make each of them go through a *different* proxy.

I know one way to set proxies, and that's through the system properties... Unfortunately, these are system specific... not thread specific.

Is there a workaround?

Make a request for http://proxy.blah.com/foo/bar.html and then set the Host property of the request to www.example.com. This will request http://www.example.com/foo/bar.html via the proxy server proxy.blah.com.
