I'd recommend using Windows and Netbeans, since Eclipse is a piece of crap. As a general rule of thumb, all free/open source software is of a lower quality and were programmed by dirty amateur programmers.

The one thing that annoys me about Eclipse is how you need to create your own makefiles for everything. Makefiles are a thing of the past, hippies. I bet you were born in the 60's.
