I don't think there's a need to alter the appearance of [spoiler]spoilers[/spoilers]. Separate tags for most commonly used /prog/ BBCode idioms would be a nice addition, though.
Editor's Note: you may want to use Firefox 3.1 nightlies, which have recently acquired text-shadow functionality.

Alternatively, you can use Safari, which has supported text-shadow for, like, at least one hundred years.

For common idioms used in /prog/ I have a program written in scheme. It works like so: (bb-tags (list "spoiler" "b" "i") "This is " (bb-expert "EXPERT" (bb-tags (list "sup" "u") "BB") "CODE") "/prog/")
Which outputs: This is EXPERTBBCODE/prog/

I wrote the BBCode Haskell module and a bbcode-mode a long time ago, but these kind of things are cumbersome when you're using someone else's computer.

It sucks and I don't have it anymore. You can find it somewhere in /prog/.

Hey guys, I'm writing a BBcodeDT (that stands for BBcode Development Tookit) for Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede). It's going to have syntax highlighting support and content assist. I'm looking for developers with Java and Eclipse development experience to help. Please let me know if you are interested.
