I had a Google interview and failed it because I actually suck at algorithms and programming even though I like them. Some guy randomly contacted me on IRC while talking in ##c because he thought I knew what I was doing. True story.

Which basically means "fuck you". I shit you not.
So yes, they do not seem to care much about experience but raw talent (LOL I DON'T HAVE ANY).
