Every time I hear the song "Electric Wizard", I think of The Sussman swooping down on a gigantic dragon and picking them up and showing them the wonders of lambda calculus and emacs and Scheme instead of the physical cosmos.
Speaking of 6.001, I'm busy making my way through the video lectures, and I've made it through 1a, but Google Video doesn't have all of them. I know you can get them from MIT's website and Archive.org, but they are HUEG LIEK XBAWKZ, plus the MIT downloads are down, and Archive only has the OMG HUEGER mpgs. Help a schemer out and show me where else to find the SICP lectures?
Recently I returned a copy of SICP 2nd edition to the library, but upon returning it I was informed that there was no record of me ever borrowing the book. It was several months overdue, so that is probably a good thing. But I can't help thinking that it was fate. Perhaps The Sussman has blessed this copy, and wished for me to keep it? I wish I had just kept it.
