Some people don't like javascript. I, myself, fucking hate everything that is web-related, and had a terrible experience with the epiphany (lol gnome) greasemonkey extension. That, adding the lack of good documentation of javascript black magic and its apparently intrinsic regular expression support, gave most people a bad impression of it. Sure, you can google "greasemonkey howto" and copypaste a few lines, but I won't do it myself. Leave it for web designers that don't know anything about ``code beautifulness''
