Online Project help

so I am starting an online project soon and have 0 experience with setting up the backbones.

I need:

Main Website (home page for app)
Private Forums (for devs)
Versioning Control SVN type thing
Download area (private)

I have a web url reserved.  So what is the easiest way to get all of these things for an economical price?  Anyone recommend a web host or something?  Also if someone has done a project like this how did you put together the online component?

Version control requires your own box, or a VPS at least. Get some experience first in whatever way is possible, because if you try to set that up with no experience at all it's just going to end in fail.
