No way this is real. No one would that terrible grammar and lack of intelligence would ever have linux and/or program in C++. Period. Also his lack of internet knowledge is amusing.

You should really learn to compile your applications from the command line and edit your files with Vim or Emacs. It doesn't really matter if you start with Vim or Emacs, just try them both and see which you like best.
If you want a more Visual Studio like editor, you can try Anjuta, Geany or Code::Blocks.
MTTS is way better than xkcd, because it sports all kinds of jokes and resorts to the narrower area only sometimes, thus it's not forced to invent unfunny jokes just so they will be related to programming/science.
