I sometimes lose focus when reading SICP and probably miss alot of important things :( will drugs help?

IMO performance-enhanching drugs are the root of all evil
when the letters started dancing: i put the book down, smoked a joint and meditated on what i did get. for me, SICP was 80% writing scheme code, 20% actual reading.
