Ranking is currently favors danbooru. When that's fixed, the results might have less ``unrelated'' porn.

"Mittens" should be an example search.

Name: 18 2008-04-06 14:59

Also, using "quotes" to search for things breaks the ?q= page links at the bottom.

Searching for tags doesn't really work. Clicking on the tag "vip quality" gives me results for stuff tagged with "quality cabbage." It shouldn't.

Filtering "privileged account" results would also be a nice feature.

fixed, thanks for pointing that out

"vip quality" gives me results for stuff tagged with "quality cabbage."
It does an ``OR'' search, but ranks all the ``vip quality''-tagged pictures at the top.
I like the large recall for random searches.. is it really a bother when the relevant pictures are ranked first?

Filtering "privileged account
TODO. At least their marked as privileged now.

( ゚ ヮ゚) MITTENS!

It does an ``OR'' search, but ranks all the ``vip quality''-tagged pictures at the top.
I was talking about how stuff inside quotes shouldn't make an OR search. I mean, a search for vip quality should search for +vip +quality, but "vip quality" should search for *vip quality*.

I was also expecting it to show only images tagges with "quality cabbage" when I click on the quality cabbage tag. Clicking on it gives me unrelated results tagged with vip quality.

Another thing, what are the 5 sites you're using? danbooru, nyanbooru, moeimouto, what else?

>TODO. At least their marked as privileged now.
Ergo your wro--

Memes aside, yes that's useful. But it doesn't help when you use a common query like loli and the first 100 pages are all privileged account results.

Also, how do I unfilter results? Some queries have so many filtered images that you end up getting one or two results per page.

Clicking on it gives me unrelated results tagged with vip quality
The ``vip quality'' picture at the top has a very high site score, that's why it sneaked past the cabbage pictures. But yes, the ranking scheme still needs work.

danbooru, nyanbooru, moeimouto, what else?
konachan and nekobooru

Also, how do I unfilter results?
I'm unsure about the laws here, so explicit loli pictures are filtered. adding &filter=0 might work

Yeah, I know. I was just saying that clicking on a tag called one two three has the same effect as doing a search for +one +two +three.

And you don't support searches for "one two three".

Also, no Sagubooru or Gelbooru?

Awesome.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-06 17:09

Oh, for now all non alphanum characters in a user query are filtered so that didn't come as a suprise (to me!). That'll be fixed though when I've implemented join. Lots of work remains. :)

Sagubooru and gelbooru both use some sort of PHP clone with no way to extract metadata. Seeing that gelbooru is closing 200 000 images, I'll try to contact them about it.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-06 17:13

Correction, sagubooru are going for a custom flash application. Not sure if want.. http://v2.sagubooru.com/build_experimental/

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-06 17:13

Yeah, searching for exact matches and tags would be nice. If the latter is not possible, just the first will do.

Sagubooru has its API available here:

No idea about Gelbooru.

Oh, sup AoRF. Where have you been?

I've been wanting to email you for a while now, I just realized that posts with more than 15 newlines don't get archived by the /a/rchiver properly, since it tries to archive things from the index page rather than go into reply all the time, the "Comment too long. Click here to view the full text." trims it.

It also doesn't archive posts/threads 1-9 properly. I wasn't able to figure out what the problem was in time. After having to deal with several lines of valid perl code of regexps in order to fix archival of mod/admin posts (used to break), I kinda gave up on that one.

There's also a problem with images that have the same size as their thumbnail, 4chan doesn't output width= height= arguments in their img tag for those, so the archiver gives them the thumb size of 0x0. I tried changing ($twidth or 0) to (!$spoiler and $width) or 0)) (and the same for $theight) in Yotsuba.pm, but while it workes for most images, it randomly made images that had a $twidth/$theight set get the value of $width/$weight. This caused HUGE thumbnails to appear out of fucking nowhere.

Now that I think about it, I probably fucked up in the regexp for parse_thread, since when I delete one of those fucked up posts from the database, it fixes itself.

This thread reminded me of something.

Ruby fucking sucks.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-12 1:45

>>34
Yes, and these problems are much more difficult to solve properly than it looks like. I should have been thinking first, and then writing valid perl code, in that order. Oh well, maybe when perl6 comes out I'll rewrite it for practice.
Anyway I'm surprised someone was using it. Archiver was giving me so much headache, only my army of lineage2 bots was worse.
