Hello there /prog/. Just recently I have purchased an XO Laptop from the one laptop per child project (olpc) and it's great. The XO Laptop is linux based with a custom GUI called Sugar. You can download and make your own activities for suger. Most of sugar uses Python. It's designed to be easy to use. It's low cost, uses 1/10 th of the power needed by most laptops today, and excells at wireless networking. It comes with a bunch of basic applications for writing, playing, picture taking, you name it. Activities and internet can be shared using mesh networks between other XO Laptops. It's so great. I'm using one too type this right now!

I agree that the XO Laptop (OLPC Project) is very good. The XO Laptop (OLPC Project) provides a basis for FS (Free Software) for future generations. Thereby leveraging ROI (return on investment) not just the OLPC Project (OLPC Little Personal Computer), but also for its users. I also appreciate the usage of GPL (GNU [GNU's Not Unix] Public License) as it teaches some moral values as well. I too am using one to type this right now!
