There are a few scientific applications where it is preferable to use a graphical display than to output postscript, you ignorant. If you were to survey the computer setups of the best scientists, you would find that MORE than HALF OF THEM have installed the X SERVER.

What the FUCK would you need an X SERVER for? I'm fairly certain you can create HISTOGRAMS quite well in the console. As a veteran of the scientific community, I await you're response.

I have quite a few examples of legitimate uses of a graphical display. If you were to observe graphical phenomena over a sufficiently large period of time, it could, in a few cases, be more efficient to analyze them on a graphical computer display than on printouts. Some people in the medical community actually depend on this technique.
