For cross-platform GUI programming, I've only ever used wxWidgets. It sucks horribly in almost any way imaginable, but, apart from Qt, there aren't any real alternatives (in before tiny toy toolkits).
For macfaggotry, Cocoa is absolutely fucking awesome, but only if you are willing to lock yourself in (GNUStep has understandably problems keeping up with Apple).

Fox toolkit (the least-worst decently featured option for native code that I've been able to find), WinForms on Mono, or Swing on the JVM, depending on what language I want to use.
When I program a GUI, I don't want eight EXTRA MEGABYTES of eye candy and user friendly interface! I just want a CUrses!!
Not a "GTK". Not a "QT". Those aren't even WORDS!!!! CURSES! CURSES! CURSES IS THE STANDARD!!!
