Question (VB .NET 2k3)

Name: Anonymous 2008-03-06 17:40

Ok, given this:

Dim result as Integer
Dim x as New frmFaggot() ' frmFaggot is a form
 x.ShowDialog()

How I do I make it so the form returns a value so I can do this:

 result = x.ShowDialog()

Assume frmFaggot is a form that does something and needs to return a result to it's caller.

Ok, that's it. The rating troll has gone too far. Stop fucking rating posts that aren't trolling.

Posting this on /a/ is guaranteed to get you 50 replies (I assume rating trolls are still around).

If ShowDialog is overrideable, then just override it.

I am still ashamed over the fact that I contributed to the invention of ``troll ratings''. One day on /a/, we were getting trolled so bad, I started ``grading'' troll replies with posts like "F-, see me after class" or "A++ trolling. Keep up the good work!" I did several ratings in a row, I couldn't believe it when, a couple of weeks later, the method of rating trolls in a numeric and a lot more international fashion became completely ingrained.

C you can do better than that.

OP here.
I will see what overriding can do for me.  For now, a global variable in my main.vb is working ok.
