Have you guys heard anything about Ethical Hacking?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_Ethical_Hacker

wiki didn't provide a whole lot of help, but you can find more info through the usual sources. I'm majoring in computer science, and I've heard a lot about how important security is. I'm only a freshman, but down the line I hope to get my masters, and I think the best path to success is focusing on security.

Is security a safe route for employment? I'm good at math and will probably pick up a mathematics minor along the way. What do you guys know about Security Jobs in Computer Science?

well, is security viable for employment above something like Software Engineering, or not? I thought security would be the one way I could avoid all the bullshit of having to get a second major in Biology or EE.

Screw it, I give up. what kind of career is actually GOOD anymore in Computer Science? And don't say ``none" because I know a lot of you are either majoring in Comp Sci or work in the field. Normal programmers have to deal with outsourcing, Ageism, rapidly changing technology, and oh yea INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT SHITTING ALL OVER THEM EVERY DAY. Administrators, from what I hear, don't get much better. Can I get my Masters in some subject in Computer Science where I can avoid all of this outsourcing and crappy pointy-haired management as long as I can learn the information?

Guess I'm stuck with a double major... maybe I'll just switch over to Business Administration?

HALP /prog/!
