Ethical Hacking

Have you guys heard anything about Ethical Hacking?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_Ethical_Hacker

wiki didn't provide a whole lot of help, but you can find more info through the usual sources. I'm majoring in computer science, and I've heard a lot about how important security is. I'm only a freshman, but down the line I hope to get my masters, and I think the best path to success is focusing on security.

Is security a safe route for employment? I'm good at math and will probably pick up a mathematics minor along the way. What do you guys know about Security Jobs in Computer Science?

YOU BLOODY FUCKING SHIT OP MOTHERFUCKER.

Being a hacker (that exploits and hacks obviously) is the hardest thing to do after writing your own algorithms (algorithm research).
You have to know about everything a project uses.
Example:
want to hack

#include <stdio.h>
int main(void) { printf("Hello world"); return 0; }

First, you need to know C. Every fucking word memorized from the standard.
Then, you need to know how the compiler behaves, any compiler the user might've used to compile this for his system.
Oh, wait did I say system? You need to know everything about his operating system, his architecture, his libc implementation.
That's to exploit a C hello world.

That ``course'' is full of bollocks, it will mainly brainwash you.
Hacking is not ``ethical'' you hack to hack. You don't give codes to the security, you don't try to make a name for yourself.
You don't work for ISS (except if you are going to give shells to ppl ^_^).

Hacking is illegal. That means a hacker is a criminal.
No ethical bullshit. In comparison to mafia, the rats are the 'ethical mafioso'.
Yes, it could get you a very good job, but you still would know shit about security.
Your job is going to be so lame you will get paid from companies to run a ``vuln scanner'' on their hosts.
