I'm looking for ideas for something to make for this embedded device. It has a 128x64px black/white LCD for output and keys for input.
Nao, I can program this is C, and I need some new, fresh idea. It has to fit in around 32k of RAM.

I wont fuck off. This is a general request, without specifications like 'it has to be a game', 'it has to do x', as most competitions have. The size limit is a limitation of the OS.
Now, in lack of imagination, what could be an interesting problem to solve?
That's a HUGE piece of powerful hardware! Back in my day, we had to do timesharing on a system with a 4-bit address space! We each got ONE BYTE of RAM and were HAPPY to walk uphill both ways up the sneakernet bus to access it!
Lisp can work on this. I presume it's 32k of free RAM alongside some sort of [BI]OS to lighten the programmer's burden. It's worked on machines smaller than that.

Probably not CL, but that's not what I meant when I suggested Lisp. I seriously doubt you want a garbage-collected dialect with that little space. Many Lisp users using GCd dialects on memory-constrained machines would elect not to use it at all, and would just write the whole Lisp image to disk and reboot every few days instead!

Oh come on, even the Commodore 64 BASIC was garbage collected, and that had 38911 BASIC BYTES FREE. READY.

and the VIC 20 had 5K total RAM, with the same BASIC.

I'm pretty sure C64 basic didn't have any garbage to collect.
