Freelance coding FTW

Hey anon,

I've started doing some freelance ASP coding to earn money as a side job. A lot of the stuff my clients ask for is really simple -- like, copy-paste code from an example on the Net and change some variable names simple. Takes an hour at most to do.

What would you charge for a job like this? $250? $300? That's the neighborhood I've been experimenting with. On the plus side, people seem happy to pay that much and it'll let me ask for serious money once they start throwing bigger projets my way, but on the other hand I don't want to be seen as a gouger. What's your experience here?

tl;dr how do I become big money hustla with ASP

If I was writing ASP code for someone, I'd be paying them, not the other way around.

Hmm... coding a full blown Scalable Enterprise-grade CRM with five million lines of code, and five years of work gets you, perhaps, $20 on Rentacoder.

I'd say $1.

Rent-a-coders full of stupid polish people who are happy with $20

Don't change these.
