/prog/ hardly ever talks about Smalltalk. What are your thoughts on a real, no enterprise bullshit, OO language?

FUCK YES
SMALLTALK
Yeah, I don't know why /prog/ doesn't talk about Smalltalk. Probably because fewer famous programmers have said quotable things about it.
In the domain of expressive languages and amazing development environments Smalltalk is Common Lisp's only real competition. Somehow, programmers, who you might expect to care about such things, don't care about that. CL has lost a lot when it comes to the latter (SLIME? Lurk moar in Genera), so Squeak is as good a reason as a person could need to check out Smalltalk. My jaw dropped when I found out you could search for methods by desired effect in Squeak.

I figured that your inability to understand ST meant you were either a toy-language fag or a OObsessedPfag (Sepples, Java, anything with objects but ObjC and Smalltalk). I don't think most of /prog/ is a FPfag in a non-ironic way, so I went with the latter.
