Ratpoison on the laptop, Windowlab on the desktop. Windowlab needs to make new windows not appear above the active window, though.

dwm, at least until Xmonad gets its act together, tagging-wise.

You mean xfwm?

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-11 19:07

ion3 but would be emacs if I could

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-11 19:10

explorer.exe

Beryl's Emerald WM.

>>10 Explorer.exe isn't a WM, it's more of a desktop environment; like XFCE's Panel and File Manager. Proof: when explorer suffers one of it's "Illegal Operations", your other windows' titlebars and borders remain.

Expert programmers don't USE WM's. We use a 9v battery and touch the ends of the CPU to give it instructions to run our programs.

DUH

Ratpoison, though I rarely use X. Fuck people and their goddamn graphical bullshit. Porn is the only exception.

Oh, wait while I google for a Latin phrase that adds nothing to the discussion but you said anyway so you can be suave.

Ratpoison without a mouse at work.

dwm (slightly hacked to add XMMS2 integration, removal of the tilling mode and addition of a maximized mode) at home.

I'm kind of looking for a new WM -- perhaps I'll take a look at that Ratpoison successor written in Lisp (if I ever manage to get it running), or perhaps I'll write my own, it's quite trivial, really.

I know, I ran it for a while. Cool except for raise on click and the fact that you can't make a new window, run a program from the terminal, and have it replace that window. I understand they did it for reasons of X11 limitations, but trickery could have made it seem to happen.

Lol, I'm not the guy who posted it, but even I know it means "There's no accounting for taste."
