Well anyone know why they have gone offline?

overselling their bandwidth, clearly

a) Wrong board.
b) Dreamhost is really good at going down.

Dreamhost is fucking gay

It gives a lot of bandwidth for cheap though. If you don't need high uptime or support it's a good choice.

Not at all. Sometimes bandwidth is more important than uptime or support.

All the hosts I've seen that actually offer at least 99.9% uptime and give support within a few minutes cost more and give less bandwidth. Now if you're important, that's critical.

If you're just running some file dump on the cheap, well...
