What should I use to code?

Name: Anonymous 2007-07-10 2:58 ID:NIqcS1WI

I've been using the free Borland C compiler and Notepad all semester. I've noticed it would be nice to know what line I'm on... what text editor and compiler do you guys recommend?

Don't use ``stupid'' assymetrical butt ugly quotes. Use "normal" quotes.

Quite. The ` character is actually a grave accent. For symmetry, it could be paired with the acute accent `like this´, but that just looks crap.

There are so many better one to choose from:

 "standard ASCII quotation marks"
 “nicer Unicode double quotation marks”

 ‘single quotation marks’

 «double angle quotation marks»
 ‹single angle quotation marks›

Don't use ``then'' when you mean ``than''. Also, lumping ``Notepad'' and ``Emacs'' together invalidates anything else you may say.
