Guys, I need a python book, not for learning how to write python code, but for learning how to program in python. Any recommends?

Remember: all /prog/ memes are lame memes

You're just asking for forced indentation.

I see what you did there. So I'm guessing it's safe to assume from your clever little last line that you haven't actually read any of those titles you listed. So those really aren't recommendations, are they?

This book looks massive, and I have no need for about 90% of it. I'm not interested in the GUI and web programming references, or any references for that matter. All I'm really looking for is an insightful discussion of some of the more unusual features of the language, like first-order functions, lambdas, generators, etc. and their implications on how to program most effectively in python.

The only one I have and the one I learned Python from is ``Python - The Essential Reference''. As the title says, it's basically a reference book, but it is structured in a way that makes learning from it quite easy and fast.

Python Cookbook is pretty neat.

I have learnt Python with Guido's tutorial, in 2 days.
