fread() and fwrite() are defined by the c standard. read() and write() are not.
fread() and fwrite() are superior.

Why is bytes_read initialized in its declaration? It's always going to be defined by fread() before anything else touches it.
I'm not understanding why the while() needs to check bytes_read. That'll just cause it to make an extra cycle through the loop when the input hits eof.

You won't be able to compile it without c library then.
Someone bumped a thread I used to test my BBCODE. Interesting.
