Seriously, Flash was always so ludicrously slow. I remember basic stamp-sized "designer" Flash shit they put on websites used to slow my old computers to a crawl, and even today, Flash didn't get any faster, just hardware got sturdier to support that piece of crap more gracefully.

Also, Flash crashes 90% of the time in my x64 Lunix. Shit sux.

Flash sucks cocks on anything except 32-bit x86 with supported binary-only plugin. Adobe is shit.

AJAX is the way to go - 3rd party plugins will generally suck, especially with multiple OSes and browsers

i'm sorry but adobe just contributed some source code to mozilla to get its javascript engine upto speed, but i'm changing my stance on ajax, flash and ajax plays pretty nice with each other.

Adobe Flex surely doesn't have any compatibility problems, because it hardly ever runs in one platform. Don't think of using Flash under Lunix.
