I want to see a single image with all the 24bit (16.7m) colours in it. I'm asking in /prog/ because I'm not sure such an image exists on the Internet and probably the only hope is for someone to write a program to generate it. Thanks.
Thanks >>3, funnily enough I came across that same after posting here. It's my understanding that this is what you'd get through outputting colour "0" to colour "16777215", those nasty 256 colour blocks. Any way of arranging this in to more of a spectrum?

each 'block' is a 2d plot of red/blue, with a different value of green. to make a proper 3d plot of red/blue/green, you would pretty much need another dimension to play with.

You could mirror every second column of blocks, and then every second row. That would at least make it into something smoother, I think.

You'd still have lines of colours. I'm thinking something more like the image you see in a colour picker, the one in MS paint for instance.

By the way, unless you have a 4096×4096 capable screen and video card, you cannot view it all in screen at once. This means even though you have a palette of 16777216 colours, you can only see 786432 colours in 1024×768 resolution.

I see what you did thar, and I just might help you. It might turn this board into a gigantic fireball, and it would crash and burn like it deserves. Hopefully it will be reborn as something beautiful.
