I'm not trolling. Python really is the Perl of today. Just look at it, what do people use Python for? Anything serious? Of course not, the only things that are written in Python are libraries (CPAN is a faggot, I want to strangle it like the homosexual jew nigger it is) and small hacks. Of course, with Pythonic syntax, you can't write the entire program on one line, which is considered good practice in Perl circles.

The business I work for rotates around software that is written in Python, even though we're not a software house. We're not big, only twenty people, but we're growing like crazy and raking in money like it's nothing. Given that the business depends on this software, I'd say Python is being used for something serious.

CPAN is awesome; it's the crown jewel of Perl's crown. Why do you hate it? Because people dare to put in gizmos like Acme, not just Serious Stuff(TM)? Or do you just like reinventing the wheel?
Having said all that, I'm not partial to Python either, but saying that Python sucks is too strong. If you think it sucks, you need to learn more languages.

I started learning Scheme yesterday, is there some shortcut for defining long lists?
I don't want (cons faggot (cons faggot empty), I want something like I've seen in some other lisps like '(faggot faggot) in order to create a simple list :/
Bringing /prog/ back to its people
