gcc 4.0.x with Dev-C++ ide... safe?

Name: Anonymous 2006-05-14 6:27

Is there any specific, technical reason Dev-C++ includes mingw-gcc 3.4.2, or is it safe to overwrite gcc 3.4.2 with gcc 4.0.2?

Any compiler flags 4.0.2 has deprecated that Dev-C++ assumes exists, etc?

mcedit works over ssh, unless you have some problem with the function keys because of that big fucking mess fucking terminals are.

Of course, if mcedit won't work, all you're left with is vim, but it should be your last resort, as in "using this shit cause it's all I have, I hate my life".

I've learnt to use good editors. I know how to do basic things and clipboard at vim for emergency cases, but I won't waste my time learning shitty braindead editors like vim. Unix people should learn what a good text editor is.
