Here is my problem: is DRAM2 any better than DRAM at this point, and if you would reccomend DRAM2 over DRAM, what motherboard, RAM, etc would you reccomend that is compatible with the other components?

I really don't know the difference between DRAM and DRAM2.
But I doubt the diffrence will be that noticable, 2gb is allot and will be very nice, no matter the speed (unless it's like under 400Mhz)

DDR2 is faster only in that it fetches the data you want and a bit more after it so you may not need another fetch when you would for DDR. Assuming you're needing that consecutive data next.
