Java Applet

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-16 5:50

Hi guyz.
I recently tried to upload Java Applet into my website.
But it doesn't display anything.
I works on my computer when I use appletviewer.
But it doesn't show anything on my website.
My web-host is geocities.

I tried googling for solutions,
and some websites mention that we have to convert it to JAR first
in ordrer to run on the website, due to web security reasons.
I tried it as well, and it doesn't work.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

Yeah appletviewer is all well and good but have you tried embedding it into a piece of HTML and viewing it locally?

FYI everyone hates Java applets.

yes. I tried that as well.
But that was only because I thought appletviewer
works only on HTML files?
But I could be wrong...

Lemme rephrase myself. Try looking at the local copy of your website, the one you have on your hard drive, in your browser. If the applet works, you'll know that the problem is with your web host.

I see. Thanks. I'll go look for some other web host then.
Thank again.
