Redirecting an image URL?

Let's play cards on the table from the outset: I know next to nothing about actual programming.

Is it possible to use a script of some sort that would make a picture you upload to a message board seem to come from another URL than it really did? I am asking you guys because I saw something that totally blew my mind and I wanted to know if I could duplicate it. Here:

The picture-answer in the first reply.... It's obvious it can't have come from the given source URL (when you right-click "properties" on it) and the "last modified" and "created" always point to today.

What is this :(  How do I do it?
I only assume it's some sort of script, which is why I am asking the pilgrims of /prog/. Thank you for your time!

What makes you think Getright's browser (or any browser for that matter) will show you all directories?
