VB6 wankery.

Okay, so I've got  something here, written in VB6, which does something to each file in a directory. What it does isn't important, I don't think. Anyway, my problem is that it's supposed to update a couple of things on the display to indicate which file it's doing things to, which it does, but only for the first few files. Then it stops updating the display, even though it's still processing the files as normal. So, um. What.
