as an American citizen I would like to apologize. Our leaders have ruined the friendship, if you will, that was supposed to mean something between our great nations. Nobody can blame you for staying out of a war because 90% of us don't want one either!
This is a president who gave back a bust of Winston Churchill. A man 1000 times better a leader than Obama ever will be, hopefully this can be mended over time. If not, it's been a hell of a century.

Drug death sentence upheld
JAKARTA - Indonesia's highest court has upheld a death sentence for a British woman convicted of smuggling US$2.5 million worth of cocaine into the resort island of Bali.
A Supreme Court spokesman said yesterday that a panel of judes had rejected Lindsay June Sandiford's appeal.
The 57-year old was found guilty in January by a district court and sentenced to face a firing squad.
That the point, if British chaps and their queen didn't even care about their own people get shot/executed in other countries, is there even 'friendship' existed with other countries in the first place? Or this thread is mean for bullshiting post?

Possible Syrian responses to a US-led strike
WITH every indication that the United States - along with a small number of its allies - may be readying a punitive strike against Syrian government forces, an obvious question is what could Syria do to respond? If Damascus cannot do much to counter the attacks themselves, how might it seek to respond or retaliate? It has serveral options:
• HIT THE REBELS HARD
It could intensify attacks against rebel forces to seek some localised and spectacular victory to bolster the morale of the regime's forces and to signal that the Assad regime remains undeterred.
• WIDEN THE CONFLICT
It could seek to broaden the conflict by striking at Turkey, US forces in Jordan or perhaps even to fire ballistic missiles against Israel. The risks here for the Syrian regime are huge. Turkey is well capable of defending itself, as are the US forces in Jordan. An attack on Israel is also unlikely. The Syrian military is heavily committed in the civil war. Lashing out against Israel might provoke a massive retaliation - opening up the possibility of a wider regional war involving Syria's ally, Hizbollah in Lebanon. Provoking a wider conflict may not be in the interests of either Damascus, or more importantly its chief ally in the region, Iran.
• START A PROXY WAR
It could engage in a proxy war by using a group such as Hizbollah in Lebanon to carry out attacks against US or Western interests abroad. Here too though, Iran - Hizbollah's patron - may be cautious about encouraging any move in this direction. Hizbollah is also itself in a difficult position, having allied itself with President Bashar al-Assad. It might determine it has enough problems at the moment and that it is better to keep its powder dry.

UN experts leave Syria as US edges toward strike
The United Nations (UN) experts investigating last week's alleged chemical weapons strike outside Damascus left Syria and crossed into neighbouring Lebanon early.
This comes hours after US President Barack Obama said he is weighing "limited and narrow" action against a Syrian regime that the administration has accused of launching the deadly attack.
With the inspectors now out of Syria, the looming confrontation between the US and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's regime moves one step closer to coming to a head.
Most observers viewed US military action as unlikely while the UN team was still on the ground inside Syria, but the US has made clear that it is confident in its assessment and could act before the UN releases the result of its probe.
Mr Obama has said that if he opts for a military strike, any operation would be limited in scope and only aimed at punishing Mr Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons.
But US action carries the potential to trigger retaliation by the Syrian regime or its proxies against US allies in the region, such as Jordan and Israel.
That would inject a dangerous new dynamic into a Syrian civil war that has already killed more than 100,000 people.
With France as his only major ally, Mr Obama said he prefers multilateral action.
"Frankly, part of the challenge we end up with here is a lot of people think something should be done, but nobody wants to do it," he said. - AP.

Rancangan Obama serang
Syria mula dapat sokongan
WASHINGTON: Bederapa penggubal dasar Amerika Syarikat semalam mula menunjukkan sokongan mereka kepada rancangan Presiden Barack Obama mahu melancarkan serangan tentera keatas Syria.
- AFP.

OP, it appears that you do not realize it but the British could not be happier about no longer been perceived as your friend. We are embarrassed to be seen as your ever faithful laptop and are disgusted by everything your government does. If you wish to apologize you should do so because our association lasted so long.

I finally figured map the US will take in the Middle East before WWIII starts. The zones not green or blue are all the places that US most obliterate, and look like a demon against the world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:WTO_members_and_observers.svg
