Zimmerman gave an account of events that was consistent with the evidence of ballistics which a jury agreed with. Zimmerman is just a good guy, he is the kind of person who doesn't stand around gawping when there is a car crash or a fire, he dials 911 and gets shit done. His attitude got him in trouble when he went up to Trayvon and asked him a few polite questions. Moments later we get this description from witnesses such as one who saw a man in a "black hoodie ... throwing down blows on the guy, kind of MMA-style."
