David Bowie

Something I've been thinking about. Cultural Marxism is bad yeah, but david bowie created some of the best music in history, and was obviously heavily under the influence of Marxism if he knew it or not.

I mean, half the time in performances he looks transgendered.

I want to know /pol/'s opinion, was he mocking Marxism the way he acted, or was he taking it to heart?

Dunno. I prefer instrumental music, like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWYC4OlIIXE#t=285s

Well he did (or does) own a bank.  I was under the impression he was pretty conservative, actually.

Something I've been thinking about. Cultural Vaqueros are bad yeah, but David bowie created some of the best blades in history, and was obviously heavily under the influence of Mediterranean alcohol if he knew it or not.

I mean, half the time in performances he looks like a soldier.

I want to know /pol/'s opinion, was he mocking Mediterranean alcohol the way he acted, or was he taking it to heart by dying in the Alamo?

You might be looking a little too much into "cultural marxism" here. A lot has been attributed to Karl Marx that shouldn't have, peasant's revolts and related observations of the social hierarchy have been happening since civilization began, Marx just became the poster boy for this phenomena after the rise of the soviet union and its propaganda. The attempt to apply Marx's more abstract ideas to culture and society has little to do with Marxism and more to do with people entertaining their fantasies, using Marx as some edgy label. Or at least they seem more interested in banal identity politics in the developed world than actually trying to improve the lives of the poor.

David Bowie was preoccupied with his music and the hippy counter-culture was on the periphery really.

As far as everyone else is concerned, "cultural marxism" is a conjured up non-entity of the right wing, which it is.

The Frankfurt school was and is a laughably obscure clique that barely have any influence on anyone except well-read intellectuals, and if anyone bothered to understand the context ( this is rarely the case ) then their motives were far from sinister or even all that radical.

Knowing something intimately is guaranteed to make you less foaming at the mouth hateful about that something, even if you fundamentally disagree. To give an example i don't agree with Julius Evola's philosophy, but i empathize with his feelings and respect his ideas.

Communist Jew detected, who thinks no one else has never read Gramsci, no one else has ever heard of the Frankfurt School, the Institute for Social Research, or Tavistock.

These institutions and people would be much less of a footnote in history if even half the bitching about them from the right-wing were to cease. You are the example of that phenomenon in action.

Don't change these.
