I had all socialists in mind. Figures like Evo Morales and Chavez are good examples of corrupt politicians who use socialist ideology as propaganda, the only significant difference between them and social conservatives is how effectively they milk the concessions they have to give the people when grass roots movements succeed. The ideology itself is largely ineffective in changing people's behavior, the massive hypocrisy doesn't seem to bother their supporters.
You cannot make socialism a success unless you understand the mechanics of politics.
