" A federal judge said Wednesday he would permanently remove harsh restrictions on third-party voter registration groups that have handicapped registration efforts in Florida this year. U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle said he would grant a motion to permanently remove the restrictions once he receives confirmation that a federal appeals court has dismissed the case (the state of Florida has agreed to dismiss their appeal).
The suit was originally filed back in December by the League of Women Voters of Florida, Rock the Vote, and the Florida Public Interest Research Group Education Fund. The Justice Department opposed the restrictions in a separate lawsuit."

– President Obama is "widely regarded as one of the most talented political communicators in modern history."
– "This will be the eighth one-on-one presidential debate of his political career. For Mitt Romney, it will be his first."
– "Four years ago, Barack Obama faced John McCain on the debate stage. According to Gallup, voters judged him the winner of each debate by double-digit margins, and their polling showed he won one debate by an astounding 33-point margin."
Myers argues that Obama will "use his ample rhetorical gifts and debating experience to one end: attacking Mitt Romney."
"We fully expect a 90-minute attack ad aimed at tearing down his opponent," she writes in the memo.
Pushing back against emerging conventional wisdom, Myers concludes that the debates will not, in fact, decide the election: "It will be decided by the American people," she says.

What if everyone was actually correct but they were too busy bitching about the context of what the other was saying instead of just being happy that everyone agrees? Besides, American football will never be planet-wide futball. http://youtu.be/68b_B-Xc1Nw

Ever notice the more you point out the flaws to the libs the more they start ranting like spoiled children. It's a good thing the adults will be in charge again in a few months.

Should people who want Obama reelected freak out already? Not really, they just need to go back to Nate's post from 10/3 and notice that 2 points Romney gained post-debate are less than what Kerry gained on Bush and even less than what Mondale gained on Reagan (to be fair, Reagan's lead was huge pre- and post-debate).
While there are obvious differences here, this race is more like 2004, not 2008 (and for a good reason, Obama is an incumbent now). Same way Kerry had a lame convention ("reporting for duty" - seriously?). Same way Bush looked like a fish out of water in the first debate (Obama looked more like he'd rather be somewhere else, but impression was the same - not passionate about this). Same way vp debate was between an "experience statesman" (Cheney/Biden) against a much younger upstart (Edwards/Ryan). Even the main incumbent message has similar mechanics - "we kept you safe from terrorists" vs "we saved you from economic calamity". So perhaps this race will follow the same pattern in its last month - incumbent regaining ground in further debates and just holding to large enough margin to win by electoral college.

There's an old saying in politics which, roughly translated, says "If the President walked across the Potomac, the lead story on Fox would be 'Obama Can't Swim'".
I'll give Obama is a smooth talker and probably slightly better than Romney, but the whole voting thing is a sham. Its all about making money and repaying favors for the big sponsors. Either way those scabs are getting their $$ worth

>>49 'Obama Can't Swim'".
But that is truth! Waling on water is cheating, meaning one cannot into honest swimming.
