I actually like Stallman's effort with Emacs. It has an easier learning curve than Vi(m) and a better layout if you're not using QWERTY. It would be a lot better if it stayed as a text editor rather than trying to be the Swiss Army Knife of editors, though.

There's nothing stopping anyone from writing a minimalist editor in Common Lisp. Or better yet, just take Emacs and hack away all the useless feature fluff.

C/C89 are rather solid languages. C++ is the pile of shit, even Stallman himself recognizes that C++ is shit.

for some reason it site half loads and if i refresh i can see a bunch of new posts but then it goes blank except banner and is "loading" forever
